Music therapy
Music is the food of the soul
The soul feeds on music. I often say that music is my closest friend since it supports me in all of my circumstances, sticks by me through good times and bad, and embraces me without reservation. I listen to music throughout happy moments, sorrowful moments, and lonely times. I can't recall ever having a day without listening to music; without it, my day doesn't begin or finish.
Aside from that, I perform vocals in many languages every day and occasionally I also play the piano. I feel every song in my spirit, and I live every phrase. I can be myself, feel alive, and connect with my inner self when I listen to music.
I took theory, piano, and "vocal improvement" classes in Nazareth. I performed in solo, duet, and orchestral settings at several performances. I was selected by the orchestra's maestro to represent the group in Tel Aviv and get a significant classical music degree. I sung five songs from five distinct times in five different languages throughout the test. I was selected as one of the top candidates following the examination, and the judges gave me the advice to always include music in my life.
As previously said, my goal was to combine my two passions—music and psychology—by pursuing a degree in music therapy. Ultimately, I pursued psychology at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels.
However, music was my way of life, a substance that was in my blood, the soul's oxygen. I wrote a lot of songs and recorded several that I also published throughout the years I was studying. I sang at a few concerts, and my performances were among the most viewed in Romania.
Even though I was ultimately unable to pursue a career in music therapy while attending college, my enthusiasm for learning and drive to educate myself persisted. I studied instructional videos, sought for seminars, read a lot of books, and volunteered in music therapy sessions at a center for the disabled people in Cluj-Napoca.
This taught me to not be a slave to fate, to never give up, and to pursue my objectives, goals, and interests. Because it is the easiest to come up with numerous justifications. But when you get to the other side, it's so much more rewarding to have taken the difficult path. I've learned that when a door shuts, a whole universe opens up, and it's up to me to choose where to focus and how creative to be.
