Why Psychology?
Unconscious skill (need)
It is said that; the one who listens needs to be listened to. I have always felt this. I really enjoyed communicating with people, listening to them and to their problems, hoping to help them. Something in me felt that I could, that I knew and that I wanted to. I didn't know what it was or who it was but somehow I was aware of its existence.
The inner voice began to be heard more and more with each positive feedback. Then there was the transition from "I like to listen" to "I know how to listen". Later, I motivated myself to build and develop my skills in a more professional way. So, I decided to study psychology and specialize in music therapy.
After completing the bachelor's degree , I felt a greater desire for knowledge. That's why I chose to enroll in the master's degree in "Psychological Counseling, Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy". In this master's program I have seen a significant growth in my professional skills and competences, as well as in my personal development. The two years of theoretical studies were important, and putting the acquired information into practice had a much greater relevance, at least for me. Therefore, I signed up to volunteer at an individual psychology clinic and at the Saint Mary's Center in Cluj-Napoca.
Volunteering gave me another meaning in life, to do good to others without expecting anything in return, to help others for the sake of helping them, to be very dedicated in what I do regardless of the financial aspect. I learned how to be present, listen carefully, smile widely and encourage with sweet words..
Through psychology, I learned that we are all similar, but each of us is unique at the same time, in his way of being. I learned not to judge any individual by appearances, because only he knows what he has deep inside, to accept everyone and their differences. To love myself, accept myself and take care of myself. At the same time. to invest in my mental and physical health, and in my relationships with my loved ones. I also realized that we are like plants that must always be cared for with attention, patience and love.
